Shared Living
We have shared single bedrooms. It’s important to understand that some people will have experience with roommates while this will be new to others.

Reduced Rates
Best Western Plus Valemount provides subsidized staff accommodation to those who need it. If this is the case for you, you’ll be required to sign a rental agreement. We charge monthly rent plus damage deposit. Both will be deducted directly from your pay cheque.

Cook Together
Are you interested in trying a different recipe or two? Shared living spaces means you can enjoy meals together with friends.

Keep it Clean
Every person is responsible to keep their personal spaces, shared bathroom, and other shared common spaces clean. A cleaning schedule should be made up and adhered to.

Down Time
Down time is important between shifts and looks different for everyone. All team members are responsible for keeping a peaceful and comfortable atmosphere at home.

Housing Change
Staff accommodation offers a few different spaces to live. If you would like to move to a different unit, transfers can be requested and arranged after 3 months of employment.
What does our staff accommodation look like?
Unlike apartment living, staff accommodation is much like you’d expect in a college experience: shared bedrooms, common spaces, and lots of opportunities for community building. If you like the idea of making new friends, swapping stories, cooking with your roommates, and sharing a drink or two together in the common space - then this is the perfect place for you!

What’s expected when you live in staff accommodation?
We want to ensure that the accommodations provide a safe, comfortable, and respectful atmosphere for everyone on the Best Western Plus Valemount Inn & Suites.
The space is shared with others who may have values and habits different from yours. Some roommates will have experience traveling and living in shared spaces, and for others, it may be their first time away from home.
We expect that you will respect your roommates’ comfort levels, keep your space tidy, share in keeping common areas clean and resolve conflicts in a polite manner.
